A new moon represents beginnings and creative energy, but it is fed by the energies of the last cycle. For this new moon in Scorpio, we are being fed by the energies that culminated in the last Aries full moon, on October 20th. That was a time of rebirth. We had a chance to face the consequences of our past actions, release what no longer has a place in our lives and take a new step. We had a chance to see things from a broader perspective and understand their implications for ourselves and others in the long-term. Now we are required to apply what we have learned.
New Moon: Sun and Moon united (conjunct) at 12°40’ of Scorpio
Sun and Moon in confrontation (opposition) with Uranus retrograde at 12°47’ of Taurus
Transformation is taking place! There is great liberation happening with this new moon, maybe even too hasty. We are definitely starting to be reborn, shedding our old skin, rising up from the ashes. When this cycle culminates with the full moon in Taurus, we may go through a sudden change. Upheavals are associated with Uranus but also an inventive solution for an old problem.
This is not the time to accommodate. Maybe this won’t even be possible at all. We should accept this invitation for change, because if we don’t we may be stuck in a situation for another decade. And it will be forced to change anyway. So, let’s embrace the scorpio “guts” and welcome deep transformation.
We should accept some losses and ends in order to open space for other gains and beginnings. We should also surrender to our deep feelings, even if just for a moment, so we can meet them face to face. What are your deep truths? Are you brave enough to affirm it, even if just for yourself in the mirror? Are you strong enough to deal with it accordingly?
Say it out loud “Yes!” and Uranus will help you out. Or you may feel clueless for a while.
Intuition is very important in this cycle. There can be huge barriers to overcome and it can feel overwhelming. We may be unable to see the solutions that are right in front of us, because we can be too focused on the obstacles. We are required to listen to our intuition, the “voice of silence”, that answer that comes from within when we silence our thoughts and tune into the energetic field that we live in.

Sun and Moon in tension (square) with Saturn in Aquarius
We may have been thinking and communicating themes of our deep unconscious. This is a process of mental development and acknowledgment of our deepest motivations in life. We really should give our deep unconscious voice. It can be uncomfortable for many, but it is important to make the unknown known, so it doesn’t threaten us anymore. We need to be brave to face it, whatever it is, so we start to understand its motivations and how to use them wisely. But it is important to say that not everything we have in our deep unconscious is bad. It can actually be a true gift.
When we come to Scorpio realms of death and transformation, there are only two possibilities: either we allow the end and go through the metamorphosis or we just start dying as we live, wasting our energy and resources. This is a time to detach and to free ourselves from past limitations! But in order to do that, we need to allow the end of something in our lives and accept the change even if it feels painful. It is not easy to dissolve attachments or cut connections. But at certain points of our soul journey, it is essential for our evolution.
Mars in Scorpio in growing tension (square) with Saturn in Aquarius
We are breaking down some rigid structures and actively destroying layers of the past to open space for the future. This can also manifest as a reinsurgence against authority, a confrontation of power and even wars. Past patterns inside and outside are being deeply transformed. This is a time to concentrate on the essentials so we don’t waste energy and resources. It is also a time to put everything on the table, for all to eat, and finish monopolies and privileges. All must be fed, all must be empowered. Individual power is forcefully becoming collective power.
Venus in the last degree of Sagittarius, to enter Capricorn
Mercury approaching the last degree of Libra, to enter Scorpio
Both planetary symbols approaching the end of a sign also suggest completion and endings. For Venus, optimism and faith are ending, pragmatism and responsibility are beginning. We are starting to see what is concrete about our hopes and expectations, and what we should really stick to, moving forward.
For Mercury, diplomacy and cooperation are ending, strategy and power use are beginning. We are starting to understand which issues cannot be negotiated and which alliances are truly empowering for the soul.
First Quarter in Aquarius
In the first quarter, the energy initiated with the new moon increases. It is a moment of making an effort so that energy can gain a concrete form. The transformation can manifest through our words and actions aligned. What we say and do now can have a strong impact in our lives. We can be severely punished or immensely rewarded, depending on these words and actions. If we can deal with the intensity of this moment properly, then the transformation will happen. We will be able to adapt and change, dissolving the huge barriers we thought to be unsurpassable.

Sun in potential fluidity (sextile) with Pluto in Capricorn
This full moon eclipse seems like a giant door for the future right in front of us, but in order to unlock it we must leave behind everything that no longer resonates. There is a sense that our own reality has deeply transformed but we have to transform inside as well. We are accessing layers of our soul that were not available before, so we can feel anxiety and fear because we don’t know what is about to come. But we know we must cross that door.
The revelation taking place with this full moon is actually a new found glory, a new territory to occupy and an innovation to prosper. There is potential for a strong strengthening of our bodies and material conditions. We are being pushed to transform the wisdom gained from this cycle into well-being and comfort in a new basis. Old beliefs shouldn’t hold us back anymore, so make sure that you are reformulating your concepts accordingly.
The desire to expand and grow can even be too much in this full moon. So, we should learn to temper our instincts and emotions, using our rational capacity. Let’s try to be moderate and think things through before we decide to keep it or cut it out.

Mercury in potential fluidity (sextile) with Pluto in Capricorn
We are wonderfully gifted with the chance to be extremely intuitive in this full moon. We can pierce through any mystery now and have a wild imaginative capacity. We can relate seemingly unrelated facts and understand things from a totally different point of view. The problem is that we can exaggerate and see connections where there are none. We should be very attentive to our thoughts and test them to make sure they are realistic. We should also pay attention to our dreams during this time, because they can demonstrate how our inner world responds to our life’s experiences.
It can be satisfactory to use this energy in active imagination to create our reality. Use your mind to visualize your heart’s deep desires and fill yourself with hope and willingness. This is powerful!
Venus in Capricorn at ease (trine) with Uranus retrograde in Taurus
Venus in Capricorn in potential fluidity (sextile) with Mars in Scorpio
Venus, as ruler of Taurus, is the ruler of this full moon eclipse and it is free from tension with other planets! This really is a blessing from the universe, as Venus is making an exact easy aspect with Uranus in Taurus. Pragmatism, responsibility and caution will favour us in facing the changes in material security. Instability is characteristic of this time but still there is a way to prosper if we learn to be adaptable and innovative. But our decisions must wisely take into consideration the long-term. It is not the time to waste anything, or take risks, or “go with the flow”. Not concerning your material resources. Stick only to the essential, be minimalist and save your money. It will better prepare you for the future and it will help you prosper in unstable conditions.

Mars in tension (square) with Saturn in Aquarius
We can feel fearful around this time because many structures are falling apart and things that have been stable for many years are becoming unstable. What is taking place here is the cutting out of everything that is not essential. It means that many comforts can be taken away from us, as our modern lifestyle of exaggerated consumerism has been collapsing, affecting us all. Instead of moaning around what has been lost, we should really be more focused in transforming ourselves to adapt to the changes. We are supposed to be more wise in the use and management of our material resources, both individually and collectively, so we can prosper in a sustainable manner, that is, without waste and prejudice for others and our environment.
Last Quarter in Virgo
By the time of the last quarter, the Sun will have changed sign and will be in Sagittarius, the waning crescent in Virgo. This is a time of completion, as we can now see clearly what it is that we have believed or aimed for that is no longer needed. We can now totally close that door, after organizing and cleaning the room. We have gathered what is ours and packed up our past experiences, and we are ready to start exploring new opportunities! Let’s open some new doors!
