After the depths of Scorpio, we are now rising up, coming out to the light again. We are rising up with a new sense of self, which has emerged from our essence after some kind of crisis. We have transformed during the Scorpio cycle and now, in the Sagittarius cycle, we are expanding and reaching out to our dreams. Especially in the beginning of Sagittarius, we are starting to master our skills so we can be successful.
Mars will be retrograde in the opposite sign of Gemini during the whole lunar cycle. Experimenting, learning and planning are really important during this phase, but we really need to apply what we already know. There is accumulated knowledge in the Sagittarius part of our charts, which we must use to achieve something. We must believe that we actually have enough experience to take a larger step, and even take different or innovative strategies, but there is no gamble or risk taking. We may actually be very well prepared for this challenge. So, attune to your intuition because you already have some answers inside you!
During this lunar cycle of Sagittarius, we may also come to realize that because we have gathered enough knowledge in an area of our lives, we can begin to share it. We may become a teacher, or some sort of instructor for another person. All of us at some point in our lives have enough experience and knowledge about something. And now is the time to be that expert and start teaching what you know, sharing your knowledge with others who can benefit from it.
November 23rd: Sagittarius New Moon
Moon conjunct the Sun at 2° of Sagittarius
Moon and Sun trine Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius
This is a time when the gifts and potentials we hold in our essence can finally be applied to something real. We are able to embody our soul's purpose and consciousness, expanding our perspective. This is a time to play our true role in life, our authentic role as souls living a human life. And this is the natural law of existence. All souls are seeking to express themselves. So, in Sagittarius, we can see things fit correctly into their spiritual places and life can be lived with purpose and direction.
Sagittarius is the sign ruled by Jupiter, which is stationing direct at the 29° degree of Pisces, the very end of the whole Zodiac, where it was Conjunct Venus during the Taurus lunar cycle of this year. This means we can now start to reach out for the things we discovered to be of true value to us. We want to expand our lives, because of what we have learned about our self-worth and what we feel we deserve. We want to have experiences and relationships that we feel are a match for us, that enriches our soul. But we should have been making space in our lives for these experiences and people to come.
Jupiter in Pisces is broadening our perspectives and imagination to unlimited possibilities, and some of them are real possibilities in our own personal lives. There will be an opportunity for us to move in the direction our soul is calling. The universe is signaling that we can actually live some of our dreams. How wonderful is that?

Mercury and Venus inconjunct the North Node in Taurus
We may still be, to a certain point, pursuing a direction, goal or purpose that is actually limited by our old beliefs, not seeing where we need to let go of. This can show up as an excessive certainty about what you know is good to you, because you have been taught so, when you should actually be open to try something new. Broadening your perspective will actually help you understand what is really good to you, what it is that you genuinely cherish and value, and want.
So, we may also begin to see how limited our perspectives have been around something and we are given an opportunity to broaden our view. We can expand our consciousness through intuition. We may travel or get in contact with people from other cultures, other forms of living, other beliefs. We can understand that there is a great variety of possibilities and lifestyles on this planet. And this helps us in getting outside of our little shells.
As soon as we start interacting with the unknown, we will face our beliefs and life patterns, our lifestyles which are generally much conditioned to a culture or family background, or social condition. That's when we begin to question and reflect about those things. And we start to see new possibilities in life, and some new possibilities for ourselves, that are actually more fulfilling.
We may also struggle to go in the direction we have chosen, because there may not be enough resources for it. Actually, most probably we may be out in space with our budgets. We will need to adjust our plans to our material capacity, so we can support and sustain them. We don't want to generate debit, and we don't want to destabilize a situation that may already be unstable. So, we may need to lessen our expectations a bit, and make our moves simpler or cheaper.
Mars retrograde in Gemini
Mars square Neptune in Pisces
Mars trine Saturn in Aquarius
The square from Mars to Neptune can discourage us, and we may feel tired and lack the necessary energy for our projects. This can actually be good, because it gives us time to think more clearly about what we want, since we may have excessive certainty about what we think we know and value. We can have the pause to watch our own repetitive speeches and get bored with ourselves (haha!).
Mars in Gemini pushes us to be bold, to put ourselves to test, question our beliefs and be curious about what else we can learn and experience. It is helping us to gather knowledge every day. And the knowledge we are gathering now is helping us with our future plans, with what we want to build in the long term (trine to Saturn).
November 30th: Pisces First Quarter
Moon at 9° of Pisces square the Sun at 9° of Sagittarius
Moon trine the South Node, sextile the North Node
Pisces is another sign ruled by Jupiter, along with Neptune (which is about to station direct on December 6th). And both these planets are also in Pisces. If we learn how to navigate uncertain waters, if we learn to trust and to let go, then we can tap into the softer, spiritual energies of Pisces. They are inspirational, idealistic and emotionally uplifting. They offer us some sort of transcendence and connection to everything around us.
There may be some important lessons we need to learn about life, and about trusting the universe, and it can be hard. Essentially, it is about learning to open our hearts, awakening to the spiritual dimension of life.
Jupiter and Neptune have been conjunct earlier this year, in March. This has been increasing our imagination and capacity for transcendence. This has also been helping us in ending whatever cycle it is we need to end, expanding and growing to reach new possibilities.
So, we can actually learn to actively work with the imaginative ability of Pisces in this cycle. Especially the beginning of Pisces is about daydreaming. If we use this ability well, we can attune emotionally to what it is that we want to pursue. We can imagine the best outcome for us, and our steps ahead to make it real. The imaginative capacitive of Pisces can be well applied in this cycle if we understand how to use it without losing track of reality.
Anything we can dream of and open space for in our lives, can be made real these times. So, may we use this energy wisely and attract things, situations and people which resonate with who we have become. We should look to the horizon of our souls' possibilities, and learn to carry inside all the good feelings and memories of people and places that are dear to us. May we move in the direction our soul is taking us to, with loving detachment, forgiveness and thankfulness in our hearts.
Mercury conjunct Venus in Sagittarius
Mercury and Venus opposite Mars in Gemini
T-square to Neptune in Pisces
Neptune squaring many personal planets can feel confusing and disorienting. There may be self-sabotaging, self-sacrificing or deceptive behavior, especially if we have been moving in a direction which is not in alignment with our soul growth. We may be too subjective, deluded, or maybe just out in space with our choices and plans. We should take some time to question where we are going with it all, and try to keep our two feet on the ground.
This cycle is challenging us to manage our idealistic visions with a great dose of practicality. We should not wander but actually imagine what it is that we truly want to experience, that resonates with our sense of self and personal skills. We can actually accomplish great things if we couple our imagination with practicality, taking all the necessary steps along the way.
Mercury and Venus sextile Saturn
Mars trine Saturn
Fortunately, we have support from Saturn to make us realistic and practical. Trine to Mars retrograde in Gemini, it is crucial that we slow down but keep moving, making the necessary adjustments, corrections and reprogramming. But we need to watch out to not get too distracted by multiple things we may be dealing with. There is a direction that we must follow, and we should focus and concentrate on it.
We can definitely build some sort of stability and structure to do what we want to do. Now we can make it solid and safe, but we will have to exercise some self-control, discipline and responsibility.
December 8th: Gemini Full Moon
Moon at 16° of Gemini opposite the Sun at 16° of Sagittarius
Moon conjunct Mars retrograde in Gemini (exact)
There will be a lot of energy in the Gemini part of your chart! There are things, places or people being revisited, plans reprogrammed or connections rearticulated. This is a time to rewrite some story from your past, or maybe have an honest conversation with someone. We are switching timelines, and it gives us a new understanding, a new perspective about something. It opens up a whole new reality for us.
We can take action to prepare for a long distance trip, a long length course, or any complex plan of some sort which requires that we concentrate and focus on it. It can feel like a battle we must fight with Mars conjunct the Moon, we will need to be bold! So, put yourself out there, speak it out loud and do whatever you feel you have to do in order to make your dream come true.
Gemini also connects us to what is familiar and we may be contacting siblings, relatives and old friends. But because Mars is conjunct the Moon, there can be arguing and dispute. We should not get too distracted by this, so we don’t lose track of where we are going. We need to understand that others won’t always agree with our choices. So, take it as a time to learn something more about yourself, test yourself, and be willing to abandon all prejudices and assumptions.
The harmonic aspect to Saturn is still going on, which helps in staying disciplined and realistic, and just cool so we don’t take things too personally. The challenge of this full moon is to not let your mind get in the way of your intuition. Don’t let the need to be right overwhelm you, and don’t take other people’s judgments of you so seriously.
Mercury in Capricorn
Mercury in Capricorn helps us in being totally realistic with our plans and goals. It offers us the ability to manage them responsibly and successfully. We can build a solid structure, build the basis for our future experiences and what we want to achieve.
We may even sound authoritative in expressing ourselves. The thing is that, after all, we might just know exactly what is the path we want to take, how to do it and when, and it can annoy some but those who are in alignment with our souls will acknowledge our efforts and achievements until this point.
Venus in Sagittarius square Jupiter in Pisces
We must watch out for not taking in more than needed. Being excessively engaged in proving our point will scatter our energy and purposes. There may be a need to exercise moderation in our philosophical ideas during this phase.
We also need to be careful so we don’t overextend our resources and borrow from the future. We want to make an expansion that is resourceful, workable and sustainable in the long term. So, we should not take larger steps than we can actually take. This is a time for managing our growth and expansion with caution.
December 16th: Virgo Last Quarter
Moon at 25° of Virgo square the Sun at 25° of Sagittarius
Moon in Virgo opposite Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces
Mastering discernment in Virgo is perfect to balance all the imaginative, even escapist or self-sacrificing energies of Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces. Being alert to all details helps us in not getting lost in our plan, our big goal or idea. We know where we want to go, we have been preparing for it and although it may be complex, we can make it happen if we manage all details, steps and peculiarities without losing track of the whole. And Virgo waning moon is just perfect for that!
This is a time to get everything organized and prepared for the next steps. Collect data, check details, divide your plan in sections, so you keep track of everything.
Moon in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn
This aspect helps us transform and empower ourselves. We can now be able to handle intense feelings and deal with fear and sorrow with much more self-control and even a little coldness. We may have come out of the full moon phase with some discomfort in our relationships, after possible arguing and disputes with family members or friends.
Mars has been retrograde during the whole cycle, but after January 12th, Mars will be direct and that’s when we will be able to act straightforward and move on with our intentions. So, use this time to prepare yourself emotionally for what you will need to do later on.
Venus in Capricorn
Venus and Mercury trine North Node in Taurus
Along with Mercury in Capricorn, now Venus is also helping in the building of structures and basis for what is next. This means we can now have people on our side, helping us with our plans, and we are able to be responsible with our resources.
Yod between Mercury in Capricorn, Mars in Gemini (focal point) and the South Node in Scorpio
This phase offers us the ability to cut off and clear away whatever is still holding us back. We can now discern what no longer serves our soul purposes, and take the necessary action to remove it from our lives. There can be an important conversation or important documents to sign during this phase, and it will prove to be powerful in the process of releasing something that you need to let go of, or be complete with.
